Configurable STL files

Parts made to your sizes, ready to print

Ekolaha parts are parametric models, not fixed files. Enter your measurements, check the part in 3D, and download an STL that's laid out for your printer.

Actuators and micro-plane parts are live now. Boats, drones and robots are next.

How it works

From your measurements to a print in three steps

1

Set your sizes

Open a part and move the sliders to match what you have, such as your coil, magnet or rod. Values that wouldn't print are pulled back into range.

2

Check it in 3D

The model rebuilds as you change it. Some parts have an assembled view you can drive with an on-screen or USB transmitter.

3

Download and print

Get an STL in millimetres with the parts laid flat in their print orientation. Slice it and print.

Made by a maker

Designed, printed, then published

Every Ekolaha part starts as a real build. It's modelled in code, printed, adjusted until it works, and only then turned into a configurator, so its fixed sizes come from parts that have actually been printed.

FAQ

Questions

What is a configurable STL?

Instead of one fixed file, each part is a model with adjustable sizes. You set the numbers, the server builds the part with those sizes, and you download that STL.

Is it free?

Yes. Every live configurator is free to use and download from, with no account. A subscriber tier is planned; it isn't available yet and has no price.

What printer and material?

The parts are designed for FDM printing and the current ones are printed in PLA. Very small parts print best with a fine nozzle and slow first layers.

When will planes, boats, drones and robots arrive?

Each category goes live when its first part has been designed and test-printed. Until then it shows as "Coming soon".

Can I sell what I print?

Licensing terms will be published before paid plans launch. Until then, please ask before selling printed parts.
